Israel’s primary calling has always been to love God (Exodus 20:3, Matthew 22:37-40) and to be a light to the nations (Isaiah 49:6). Being a light to the nations starts with Israel’s Messiah, Yeshua (Isaiah 42:6, Isaiah 53, Jeremiah 31:31), the glory of Israel (Luke 2:32) and source of all light (Genesis 1:3, Revelation 22:5). The calling to be a light to the nations applies not only to Israel’s Messiah, but also to its people (Isaiah 49:3), and especially those in relationship to the Messiah who can bring the eternity impacting gospel to the nations (Acts 13:47). Connection with Israel’s Messiah is therefore a requirement in fulfilling the calling (Matthew 5:14-20. Israel is not alone in its calling to bring God’s Kingdom to the nations, and so we actively partner with international ministries (Ephesians 2:14-16). Serving together in partnership and unity generates a dramatic release of spiritual power (Romans 11:12), a key element of end-time global revival and harvest (Amos 9:13).
